The roofing designed by CIDELSA, is a bioclimatic solution suitable and adaptable to extreme tropical conditions. Its thermoplastic and color characteristics guarantee a thermoplastic thermal performance (low conductivity, high reflectivity, and low emissivity) that contributes to thermal comfort according to monitoring results after the completion of the work:

1. In terms of surface temperature, PVC textile roofing showed 37.6 °C under high solar radiation conditions and outside temperatures over 32 °C.

2. The inner face temperature recorded is 33.1 °C, meaning a reduction of 4.5 °C from the outer face recorded, definitely influencing the internal comfort conditions depending on the radiant temperature effect from the cover.

3. Regarding the double-roofing system with air cushion and thermal and dynamic, ventilation with lower openings, an operating final temperature of 29 °C is achieved, which is within the adaptive comfort range under the conditions of Cartagena.

According to analysis results, Cidelsa’s definition of the double layer system is justified by energy saving of 100%, compared to using HVCA, while ensuring thermal comfort, natural lighting, and compliance with bioclimatic design requirements.
